Live From Kenan Stadium

It's a beautiful day for football in Chapel Hill, N.C., where Kenan Stadium is slowly filling. Make sure to check for in-game updates. Thirty minutes to kickoff, here are some quick notes...

- Vic Hall was warming up before the receiver. Please excuse me if I don't put a position before his name in the foreseeable future. No word on whether he'll play, but I saw him run and catch a pass.

- Two new freshman on the travel roster: Linebacker Connor McCartin and kicker Drew Jarrett. Defensive end Brent Urban traveled to Southern Mississippi, but did not play. Virginia has already played six true freshmen this season.

- Virginia is in white jerseys/white pants. North Carolina is in blue jerseys/white pants.

- This is the fifth-longest series in division I-A history, behind Minnesota-Wisconsin, Missouri-Kansas, Nebraska-Kansas, Texas-Texas A&M and tied with Miami (Ohio) and Cincinnati.

All things considered, good first half. vic Hall drops another first down (and field position, and who knows what else on the first drive), and we blow 2 touchdowns on the last drive (penalty and another dropped pass). We played better than the stats show, which for this 0 and 3 team, is very promising.

And beautiful day for football as well ;)
