Morning Links
One day until gameday, and it looks like Mikell Simpson will not play. Check Cavaliers Journal today for an inside look at who might take the carries -- and it's not who you might think.
Onto the links...
Cam Johnson plays for Virginia and Torrey Smith plays for Maryland, even if their home states are the other way around. Saturday provides a chance for Smith to seek redemption.
Maryland can look to Virginia as a clue for turning around the season (although the Cavaliers still have much to do to consider the season turned around). Aaron Clark said it had much to do with the initiative of the players.
One Virginia student thinks that Al Groh should not have played Mikell Simpson in the third quarter of last week's game, an opinion that is not shared by long-time beat writer Doug Doughty within his weekly online column. Rashawn Jackson gives the Cavaliers a good veteran option, too.
The historic 2009 Virginia baseball team will be honored tonight.
Finally, because Simpson likely will not play, here's a look at his final play on Byrd Stadium's turf...
