Pre-Game Notes

Minutes until kickoff, and Scott Stadium features a pretty weak crowd -- especially for Homecoming weekend.The hill overlooking the field where the students sit is near empty. Apparently, last week's win over North Carolina did little to alter fan apathy. Let's see if it fills as the game begins.

Some quick notes as the game begins...

- Anthony Poindexter's pre-game ceremony included a video montage and a jersey presentation. He was flanked by family and former teammates.
- Virginia is wearing blue jerseys and blue pants -- the same combination it wore in a loss to TCU. Indiana is wearing white jerseys with crimson pants. Virginia, which has six captains, sent Vic Hall, Will Barker, Aaron Clark and Denzel Burrell to midfield.
- This is the only game between an ACC and Big Ten team this season.
- Indiana's captains this week are Bryan Payton, Matt Mayberry, Terrance Turner and Tyler Replogue.
- The new field is in place and freshly painted. We'll see if it causes any issues.
- The Cavaliers men's basketball team raised the "Power of Orange" flag before the game.
