From the first glance, Virginia's players appeared different when they walked out of the locker room Saturday. It was merely an extension from what happened inside the locker room, writes Jeff White.

Two in-state columnists take a look at Mr. October, who still has his players believing in him. Perhaps the time of the year is the explanation for Virginia's annual hard-to-figure dominance of UNC.

You saw Vic Hall's new role, which resulted from a mid-week meeting with Al Groh. Hall's close friend, Chris Cook, had a standout game in his first win since 2007.

On the other side, North Carolina said something that I didn't hear a Virginia play admit through the first three games -- that his team deserved to get booed. Nothing seems to be working for Butch Davis and the Tar Heels.
