Sewell doubtful; Conrath, Clark questionable
Virginia quarterback Jameel Sewell is doubtful for Saturday's game against Miami with a shoulder injury. Sewell has been affected by an ankle injury, but it has not prevented him from starting. The shoulder injury looks like it will keep Sewell from playing against the Hurricanes. Junior Marc Verica is the No. 2 quarterback, although opening day starter Vic Hall could receive snaps even though he's now a wide receiver.
Verica was 27 for 41 with 240 yards and one touchdown in last season's start against the Hurricanes.
Defensive end Matt Conrath and linebacker Aaron Clark are both questionable. Here is the full injury report:
