Football: Report: Corp to Richmond

Reports are circulating that Southern California quarterback Aaron Corp will transfer to Richmond, where he will be eligible to play next season. Virginia's name appeared in a report earlier this season, although my reporting indicated that any mention of the Cavaliers was premature.

If Corp goes to Richmond, that means Virginia opens the season against Corp before playing USC and Matt Barkley, who beat out Corp for the Trojans' starting job, the following week.

With Mike Paulus going to William & Mary and Tyrod Taylor still at Virginia Tech, Virginia's quarterback will have -- at best -- the fourth largest profile in the state. When was the last time that happened?
