Men's Basketball: Greenberg talks Cavs
Cavaliers Journal has spoken to opposing coaches periodically this season about preparing for Virginia this season compared with in years past. Here's what Virginia Tech Coach Seth Greenberg had to say.
"First thing is, obviously, they're extremely well coached, they're extremely disciplined on both sides of the ball. But when you prepare for Virginia, you start with Sylven [Landesburg], for sure. Then you go to Mike Scott. They have a lot of different guys who can score the basketball. Sammy [Zeglinski] can make shots, [Mustapha] Farrakhan can make shots, [Jeff] Jones can make shots. You've got to be aware of that, you've got to be aware of getting good ball and people movement, not to get packed in.
"Their rotations are short. But I'm not sure it's that drastically different, except they're an extremely confident team right now. They feel good about themselves this year. They've won a lot of games. Until the other night, I think they won eight or nine in a row. When you win eight or nine in a row, you're a confident team. And you've got to give the coaching staff credit for that."
