Report: Groh close to becoming Ga. Tech defensive coordinator

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that former Virginia Coach Al Groh is close to becoming the defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech.

Groh's defense were always among the better defenses in the ACC, and he's widely praised for his defensive mind. He can bring a 3-4 defense to Atlanta -- and would play Virginia and Virginia Tech in the Coastal division.

There are also NFL jobs available in the Bill Parcells coaching family, so it will be interesting to see where Groh coaches next season.

I'll continue passing along more information as it comes through.
