UPDATED -- Football: Kyrrel Latimer update
All but one player who committed to Al Groh kept his commitment. That one is DeMatha defensive back Kyrrel Latimer. Coach Mike London did not mention Latimer by name, but confirmed that the one player who did not sign is still committed to coming to Virginia at a later date.
"He'll probably have to go to prep school for a year, bolster his academics and then we'll be happy to see him," London said.
A source close to Latimer, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the situation, said academic issues prevented Latimer from being admitted to Virginia, and that the most likely plan is to spent next fall at Fork Union Military Academy before enrolling in Virginia next spring.
