Virginia basketball in free fall, baseball loses first game
It was the end of a bad week for Virginia men's basketball at Clemson, although the road trip continues. The Cavaliers shot more air balls than three-pointers.
Sammy Zeglinski said Virginia is "reeling", which might be a generous way of describing what has quickly become a lost season.
In baseball, Virginia lost to East Carolina to set up a regional-like rubber match.
Also of not, lacrosse coach Dom Starsia won his 200th game for the Cavaliers with a season-opening win at Drexel and the women's swimming team won its third consecutive ACC championship.
