Virginia football legend Bill Dudley dies at 89
Bill Dudley, one of the great football players in Virginia history, died after a short illness.
Dudley starred for the Cavaliers in the early 1940s and was the Pittsburgh Steelers' top draft choice in 1942. He also played for the Redskins in 1950, 1951 and 1953. Dudley was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1966.
