Another loss for the men, Monica Wright shines for the women
After Virginia's eighth consecutive loss, the only glimmer of hope awaits next season. Bennett has accepted these lumps early in his tenure at Virginia, but they will not be accepted once players such as Billy Baron become veterans.
Perhaps the Cavaliers' fortunes would be different if they had a player such as Monica Wright, who has returned the women's program to a chance of greatness, although her time is running out.
