Virginia at Boston College preview

Virginia at Boston College
When: 9 p.m.
Where: Conte Forum, Chestnut Hill, Mass.
TV: ESPNU.
Radio: WTNT (570 AM).
Records: Cavaliers 14-13, 5-9 ACC; Eagles 14-14, 5-9.

Will he play?: Guard Sylven Landesberg missed the first game of his career in Sunday's loss to Duke with a right thigh bruise, and Virginia sorely missed its leading scorer. Coach Tony Bennett remained unsure about Landesberg's status while speaking with reporters Monday, saying Landesberg is "day-to-day."

At a loss: Virginia has lost seven consecutive games, including the last five by double-digit margins. The Cavaliers suffered a seven-game losing streak before it last visited Boston College in 2008, and they beat the Eagles to snap the skid. A win would keep Virginia from matching the eight-game losing streak it suffered last season.
