Pre-game from M&T Bank Stadium
Notre Dame has made a run from unseeded to the NCAA tournament finals, meaning the Irish will play the winner of Virginia-Duke. There's a perception that the Cavaliers' game -- which will begin around 7 p.m. -- will serve as a de facto championship game, although the Irish looked good this afternoon.
Some quick pre-game notes..
- Virginia, the top seed, is wearing white uniforms. It includes the patch honoring Yeardley Love.
- This is the third meeting of the season between the two school. Duke beat U-Va., 13-9, on April 17. Virginia topped Duke, 16-12, one week later. It broke an eight-game losing streak to the Blue Devils.
- It was a good crowd for the first game, but this one is the main attraction. There's much orange in the crowd. It will be interesting to see what the reaction is for the Cavaliers.
