Virginia baseball to host an NCAA regional
It was expected, but now it's official. Virginia is in the NCAA baseball tournament and will host a regional. The four-team, double-elimination tournament will be played on June 4-7 at Davenport Field. There will be two games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- and a game on Monday if necessary.
The tournament will be announced Monday at 12:30 p.m. on ESPN. Virginia will not know if it hosts a super regional until June 7 around 11 p.m., when the winners of the regionals are finalized.
