Danny Hultzen likely to pitch Saturday

Coach Brian O'Connor did not commit to a starting pitcher for Saturday's game -- it will be either Danny Hultzen or Robert Morey -- but O'Connor is leaning toward staff ace Hultzen. O'Connor wanted to wait to learn the results of Friday's game between Mississippi and St. John's.

"I'll make a decision by the end of the ballgame," O'Connor said.

Hultzen pitched last Saturday, and has gone on one week's rest throughout the season. Hultzen is 9-1 with a 2.43 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 92.2 innings. The decision is more about the opponent than Hultzen, though.

"I just want to mull over it a little bit longer and make the decision later tonight," O'Connor said. "A lot of it has to do with the opponent we face and what we see out of them. We've never seen St. John's play. We only saw Ole Miss play last year. We'll wait to decide for sure what we're doing."
