Impressions on new Virginia uniforms: What did you think?

When Virginia took the field Saturday night at Scott Stadium, the Cavaliers were sporting their new orange jerseys with blue pants. The reaction in the press box was mixed. Some reporters thought they looked decent; others thought they were hideous.

Keith Payne shows off Virginia's new uniforms.

Here's what Coach Mike London thought: "I liked it. I thought they looked sharp. The captains chose the combinations. We talked about doing that early on when it was unveiled that we had these different color combinations. The big thing for us, and again trying to connect with our fan base and particularly our students, is that early on on home games we will continue to get with the student body and the people that can get the message out about maybe the next game it's all blue, or maybe it's blue tops and orange bottoms, or whatever it may be. The thing is to have fun with it, but also get people involved with it and see the stands, hopefully, you know, buying into what we're trying to get done. It's been fun, and we hope that it continues."

And now we'd like to know -- for those of you who either were at the game or watched it on ESPN3 -- what you thought of the new uniforms. Feel free to expand on your choice in the comments section below or email your thoughts to me directly at yandas@washpost.com.

Glad to see the orange jerseys again - it's been a while.

Too lazy to post a pic of the uniforms you want people to vote on?

I don't know how they looked on TV, but they looked better in person than they looked on Hoo-vision. I liked them.

I thought they were fine. Looked better than pretty much all those dreadful "Nike Pro Combat System of Dress" abominations teams trotted out last week.

The uniforms were fine. The great thing about them is the players and most importantly RECRUITS love them.
