Poll: How will Virginia fare against Florida State?
Virginia and Florida State will meet on the gridiron Saturday for the first time since 2006, when the Seminoles shutout the Cavaliers, 33-0, in Tallahassee. No Virginia player has competed against Florida State, and just eight Cavaliers were even on the sideline as first-years the last time these two programs met.
Having won nine of its last 12 ACC openers, Virginia will look to build off its solid 2-1 start and pull off an upset against a Florida State squad (3-1) that the preseason pick by the media to win the conference. The Seminoles are 5-2 all-time at Scott Stadium and hold a 13-2 lead in their all-time series with the Cavaliers.
