Updated: 7:52 p.m.

Virginia senior forward Mike Scott will not play Friday night against Oregon after undergoing arthroscopic ankle surgery Thursday. According to a press release issued by the school's athletic department, the surgery removed loose pieces of cartilage.

It is unknown at this point how long Scott will be out, though Coach Tony Bennett is expected to speak on the player's prognosis after the game.

Scott leads the team in scoring (16.3 ppg) and rebounding (10.4 rpg).

More information to come.
