Cavaliers running Torrey Mack no longer enrolled at U-Va.

Sophomore tailback Torrey Mack is no longer enrolled at Virginia, according to a report in the Cavalier Daily. The story cites an anonymous source claiming academic issues were the primary reason Mack left the university.
Team spokesman Jim Daves confirmed in a telephone interview Wednesday morning that Mack did not return to Virginia for the spring semester and is not currently enrolled at the university.
Although Mack did not play a prominent role on the team last season, he was expected to compete for expanded responsibilities this spring following the graduation of Keith Payne, Virginia's leading rusher in 2010. Mack tallied 72 yards on 19 carries last fall.
The news of Mack's departure comes on the heels of Virginia's announcement Tuesday that Coach Mike London had indefinitely suspended three players -- linebacker Ausar Walcott, cornerback Devin Wallace and center Mike Price -- for conduct detrimental to the team. Walcott and Wallace started for the Cavaliers last season.
