Robert Randolph named to 2010 all-ACC academic team
Virginia placekicker Robert Randolph was named a member of the 2010 all-ACC academic team Thursday. Randolph was the lone Cavaliers representative on the conference's academic squad.
Randolph made 10 of 14 field goals last season, including a long of 44 yards. He also scored a 20-yard rushing touchdown on a fake field goal attempt at Duke.
A member of Virginia's ACE Program, which mentors local elementary school students, Randolph also participates in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He currently owns a 3.1 grade point average and is pursuing a degree in environmental sciences.
To be eligible for an all-ACC academic team selection, a player must have earned a 3.00 GPA for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative GPA during his collegiate career.
