Will Sherrill, Will Regan earn all-ACC academic team honors
Virginia senior forward Will Sherrill and freshman forward Will Regan were two of 13 players named to the 2011 all-ACC academic team Wednesday, the league announced. This is the second straight year Sherrill has received such recognition.
A player must have earned at least a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career in order to be eligible for all-conference academic team consideration.
Sherrill is double majoring in history and economics. He has started 12 of the 22 games in which he has played this season, averaging 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. He missed eight games while dealing with a right leg injury that initially occured Nov. 29 at Minnesota.
Regan has yet to declare a major. He has scored 25 points and grabbed 18 rebounds combined in 20 games this season.
