By Liz Kelly

Sofia Coppola's "Marie Antionette" booed at Cannes; also in Cannes, Borat (aka Sacha Baron Cohen) models an unforgettable -- umm -- swimsuit... David Lee Roth wants back in Van Halen... Michael Jackson will make public appearance to accept MTV Japan's "Legend" award; Debbie Rowe divorce documents to be made public... Jamaican ska music great Desmond Dekker ("Israelites") dead of heart attack at 64... Ludacris, Kanye West deny ripping off "Stand Up" lyrics... DMX considers changing his name for spiritual reasons.

Rumor Mill: Britney banishes K-Fed to basement of their California mansion... Nicole Richie addicted to diet pills... Gwen Stefani may have given birth in London... Heather Mills was bored with McCartney marriage... Could Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey be working on a reconciliation?

Righty Rock: Just in time to load up the iPod for Memorial Day weekend, the National Review has released a list of what it terms the "50 greatest conservative rock songs." No. 1? "Won't Get Fooled Again" by the Who. A few other highlights: Lynyrd Skynyrd's defense of the Southern way of life, "Sweet Home Alabama" at no. 4, Aerosmith's "Jamie's Got a Gun" by way of justifying the right to bear arms, Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55" as a lament against the "nanny" state. Good times. Get the full list here.

Best quote, from David Lee Roth, "To me, it's not rocket surgery." And you thought Barbaro had tough surgery.
