Morning Mix: Kate Hudson, Chris Robinson Split

By Liz Kelly

Headlines: Kate Hudson, Chris Robinson separate after six years of marriage... Sigourney Weaver says Mel Gibson is a "decent guy"... AOL streams Paris Hilton's new album online... Lance Bass and Reichen Lehmkul say they're happier than ever... Matt Lauer and wife expecting third child... Linda Rondstadt calls George W. Bush an "idiot"... William Shatner pens new "Star Trek" novel (did someone say William Shatner?)... Sheen, Richards amicably resolve divorce case... Boy George snaps at reporters while on trash duty... Shannen Doherty hangs up on Newsweek...

Rumor Mill: Does K-Fed get a stud fee for each kid with Britney?... Diddy refuses to eat from plastic plates at BBC studios... Nick Lachey prefers Satan to ex-father-in-law... Has Jennifer Aniston agreed to "Friends" reunion? Why was Naomi Watts straddling a gargoyle 61 floors above the earth?

Dancing with the Stars? Such rich material, so little time... Tucker Carlson, Jerry Springer, Vivica A. Fox, Harry Hamlin, Joe(y) Lawrence, Mario Lopez, Sara Evans, Willa Ford, Monique Coleman, Shanna Moakler and Emmitt Smith to compete in the show's third season.

P.S. Blogger names Bob Newhart the best dressed man on TV. Let's all reflect on the sublime combination that is wide lapels, a bold print and male pattern baldness.

P.P.S. Send your friends and family a personalized phone message from Samuel L. Jackson, who really wants them to see "Snakes on a Plane."

How frightening is it that FOX is already promoting the Teen Choice Awards (or whatever it is) in two weeks as Kevin Federline's first live musical performance?

So how long do you think Tucker's going to last?

Totally stoked to see Joey Lawrence dance (whoa!) However, I am wondering about Emmitt Smith...I dont think he will be able to top Jerry Rice. Jerry was the ultimate pimp last year!

Actually, Sam, what the world really wants more of is Snacks on a Plane.

I'm just glad SOMEONE finally hung up on that Newsweek "reporter" with the lame questions. That section of Newsweek is annoying to read because clearly the interviewer is infatuated with himself/herself/whatever. The attempt is to make the reader say "What an outrageous question!" rather than to solicit an interesting response from the celebrity target.

Huzzah for Newhart, I think he's always had a nice sense of style. No, for reals! I like a man whose person style says, "what, don't look at me, look over there!"
Um, I was on another site and saw a picture of Kate Hudson and her son...they could be twins, and that's not necessarily a good thing. He's cute, in a "i'm mommy's little dress-up doll, and mommy wanted a girl, duh" way. Honestly, I didn't think their marriage would last a full year, when they passed that milestone I assumed they'd be in it for the "long haul," y'know, 10-15 years.
Dancing with the Stars? Which one of these people actually has rhythm? Let's assume Viveca does (& Mario & Willa), and remember when Joey was Nell's fave li'l boy? I even remember that he had some single out and did a little pop-n-lock in the viddy. The rest of the cast?! Really, how hard up for cash are these people?!?!!

so i'm reading your little blurb about how people shouldn't make a fuss about starlets and their weight, and i scroll further down the page to find you taking a poke at Newhart's male pattern baldness. if you think it's tough for young girls living up to the high aesthetic expectations put on starlets, try being a dude that's losing his hair. while everyone can diet and exercise, there is no real solution for male pattern baldness (unless you really think people dig toupees). more and more, young males in our society are given the impression that being an attractive man means having a full head of hair (and a completely hairless body). if you don't think it's right to be critical of poor ol' jessica simpson, how about showing some love for the folically challenged fellows.
