Say What?
"They're looking for me, to like trip, so they can be like, 'Oh Lindsay's wasted and driving drunk.' And that's not it. I wouldn't violate. ... I'm much more responsible than that." -- Lindsay Lohan, who is so not a fortune teller, in a May interview

Supercool Chat: Actor Michael Cera will be online at 12:30 p.m. ET to take your questions about his new film "Superbad," his long-running (and regrettably canceled) sitcom "Arrested Development" and his quirky career.

about Richie - from the article: "[Richie's] attorney contacted us and indicated she wants to do her time there," said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, adding that no surrender date was given.

Ummm, since when do attorneys tell the Sheriff what to do?

please no--Amy Winehouse is anorexic looking and, bluntly, really ugly. Why does Vogue have this obessession with pop culture celebrities? It used to be about fashion.

Ooo George Michael! He's so awsome- hope Hollywood does not ruin that.

Did anyone see the spoof YouTube video that Michael Cera did to parody that Yale guy with the fake and overly ridiculous resume? Brilliant.

jj - during the paris hilton thing, i read somewhere that for "minor" crimes, people can choose which jail they go to...

YAY GEORGE MICHAEL!

Posted by: DJ | August 3, 2007 9:58 AM | Report abuse

yes, that is correct--most places let you choose when it is a certain type/level of crime. They give you a list, and you pick.

The Bipolar Brit article is irresponsible. A lot of people have serious psychiatric issues diagnosed by professionals - yes, oft set off by chemical imbalances etc... but come on. It's one thing for us to be armchair celebritologists... its rather another to be armchair physicians - and just because we're innundated with completely irresponsible ads for drugs that encourage us to self-diagnose doesnt mean we have to play along.

(my ex was DSM-IV Borderline... having lived with and through some of that, i really hope it's just a bout of more mundane stupidity rather than something that serious)

Is Britney Spears bipolar?... That's a rhetorical question, right?

"Ordinary People"

One of my all time favorite movies. While it is not all about high school, the main character is a high schooler.

With all her tacky, badly done tats airbrushed out, the strange beehive thing atop her head removed, and the dreadful Cleopatra eyeliner replaced with normal makeup, Amy Wine-o doesn't look half bad. I don't think she's an attractive woman, but cleaned up a bit she's not quite so scary.

However, putting a total whack job with drug and alcohol problems and totally nutty behavior on the cover of Vogue? I didn't think Anna Wintour would stoop so low.
