I thought Eva Mendes was in rehab to deal with personal issues? So why would she leave to attend to them? I don't think Eva is getting the point of rehab.

What, no jumping on couches for Cher?

Posted by: RiverCityRoller | February 8, 2008 9:23 AM | Report abuse

hey me three, Javier had the worst movie haircut.

Wow. Tom Cruise & Cher. That's right up there with Barbra Streisand and Andre Agassi. Gives me the creeps.

The side by side photos of Madonna are not conclusive in my opinion. She looks virtually the same, with heavier eye makeup in the most recent photo. I'm beginning to think that almost everyone in Hollywood has had 'work' done.

Tom Cruise...Cher...shudder...

Posted by: michael | February 8, 2008 9:33 AM | Report abuse

Cher is just trying to make sure she doesn't lose any of her devoted gay following.

Posted by: yellojkt | February 8, 2008 9:39 AM | Report abuse

"The mum-of-one is also due to appear as a presenter at the Grammy Awards on Sunday."

Cher has two kids!

Angelina Jolie is pregnant? Did I miss the grand announcement via Celebritology?

Posted by: que?? | February 8, 2008 10:17 AM | Report abuse

I'm no expert on celebrity plastic surgery, but the Madonna photos look the same to me.

Oh, BTW, Cher you should have kept that little bit o' info to yourself. Never admit you used to date someone who turned out to be bat guano crazy.

Posted by: Anonymous | February 8, 2008 10:18 AM | Report abuse

Yeah, I'm looking at the pictures of Madonna and I'm not real sure where she was supposed to have had surgery. That woman is so in shape and preserved I'm not sure where she needs it anyway (and I am not a big Madonna fan).

Posted by: Chasmosaur | February 8, 2008 10:37 AM | Report abuse

I've assumed for a while that Madonna has had work done, but her surgeon is just really good so she doesn't have icky fake face like Cher and Joan Rivers.

As for Heidi Fleiss, can we vote that her 15 minutes are long over, and she's no longer a celebrity?

If I could turn back time, Cher would have had Celine's original gig and Ms. Dion would already be forgotten.

Was this your first draft, Liz Kelly?

"Denied a U.S. visa, Amy Winehouse will turn in a satellite-fed [and cocaine-fueled] Grammy performance."

Posted by: byoolin | February 8, 2008 11:08 AM | Report abuse

Gee, Byoo, it's like you're looking over my shoulder.

Posted by: Liz Kelly | February 8, 2008 11:23 AM | Report abuse

"Amy Winehouse will turn in satellite-fed Grammy performance..."

... and she'll do it live from the Osborne family's backyard. With special guest, Ozzy. The first hundred curious onlookers and cranky neighbors through the gate will each receive a free severed bat head and a fresh puddle of Amy's vomit. Be there!

Posted by: MisterBear | February 8, 2008 12:04 PM | Report abuse

By the way, is "satellite-fed" like the 21st-Century equivalent of "corn-fed?" Just wondering.

So lonely with everyone over at the "Lost" blog.

yeah, what about us people that don't like Lost?? Can we start a 30 Rock/ Office blog?

I don't know what's scarier in that photo, Tom Cruise or Cher. As I've often noticed in photos, particularly the one on the cover of Andrew Morton's book, Cruise's grin is somehow predatory. Definitely gives me the creeps.

Liz Kelly, how about we do a Pride & Prejudice analysis for the next 3 Mondays?

Posted by: Mr. Darcy Forever. | February 8, 2008 4:39 PM | Report abuse

Californian, I agree completely w/your assessment of Tom's 'smile'. I always wondered why it looked like he was trying his hardest to show ALL his teeth.

fridays used to be fun. now i'm just ...lost...

Posted by: methinks | February 8, 2008 6:00 PM | Report abuse

Now we know how Cher got that sore back years ago....leaning over to kiss Tom goodnight.

Actually, the WP.com "Channel This" blog discusses just those shows! I love those shows too, they just don't have enough depth going on (don't get me wrong they are GREAT shows, just not mystery shows) to get more than a few comments going. Bear with us, only 6 more episodes for this stretch!
