You know it's a slow day at Celebritology when "Michael Lohan spotted at strip club" is one of the items.

(Unless the next five words are "helping daughter fill out application.")

"Jerry Seinfeld plotting return to primetime TV?"

I read this and I imagine Jerry sitting in his secret underground lair trying to find ways to punish the world for not liking Bee Movie.

Ok, I'm going to confess, I DO NOT LIKE JERRY SEINFELD. I never thought he was funny, maybe being from the midwest I didn't get his "New York" humor, maybe I need more edge to my humor, a la Dave Chappell or Lewis Black. I am so glad I got that off my chest. I feel much better now. Thank you Celebritology.

Time for another line, Liz Kelly:

Brad and Jen broke up three years ago. If any of us were still going on three years later about who initiated our last breakup, surely someone would tell us to Get. Over. It.

And just as Brad and Jen have moved on, so it is time for us to do the same. We will always have our happy memories of their joyful and beautiful times together, but we need to let go of their now long-dead love for each other.

We did it for Billy Bob and Angelina; we can do it for Brad and Jen.

Ah, Liz Kelly, where's the rest of the Morning Mix. Are "we" slacking a bit or are celebrities actually behaving themselves? Let's hope its the first because if celebrities start behaving themselves how will I waste time while I'm at work, or in this case at home taking a wellness day.

The premise of Ashton Kutcher's new show is kind of interesting in that the media/papz become the story. That's the sort of naval-gazing that usually goes on after the media (and I kind of hate lumping all media together like that but there's no easy way to do it) has covered a big story ad infinatum, ad nauseum, and decides to get all introspective.
Several instances come to mind: post 9/11, post Anna Nicole, post OJ...they talk, and talk and talk about what they did wrong. Ask, "are we part of the problem?" And generally don't do anything to change their ways. It's too competitive. They have to make money so they have to go down the path of least resistance and follow the tawdry story.

Sheryl Crow: Shut up, analyze your own relationships. You dated Lance Armstrong for Godsakes. How do you explain that?

Posted by: Lisa1 | March 7, 2008 9:49 AM | Report abuse

It is time for Ashlee Simpson to fall off the face of the earth. She "felt like she was going to be attacked" by the Kane show? Did she think Kane was a lion?!

Posted by: Gross | March 7, 2008 9:54 AM | Report abuse

I doubt that Jennifer Aniston is happy about Sheryl's reporting of the events.

I do not like Jerry either.

I hate to use the words "brilliant" and "Ashton Kutcher" in the same sentence, but this Ashton Kutcher show is brilliant. It's funny, sort of deep, allowing celebrities to turn the tables on "those who won't leave us alone". It's like tricking a vulture with a mannequin...or something.

I respectfully disagree with byoolin.
As long as they're all still breathing, the Anniston/Pitt/Jolie triangle will have life. And since none of them are currently suffering from a terminal or mental illness, the line need not be drawn.
To paraphrase Terrence Mann AKA James Earl Jones in 'Field of Dreams,' "People will read, byoolin, People will most definitely read."

Geez, Angie's brother also had a big mouth and I don't mean his lips.

I was going to say something about Michael and Lindsey's recent career choices, but you beat me to the punch byoolin.

I guess Lisa Presley found a different dance partner.

What can I say, anonymous critic? It's a slow day.

Posted by: Liz Kelly | March 7, 2008 10:12 AM | Report abuse

geez jennifer (by way of sheryl). brad wanted kids, you didnt want to have any and wanted to concentrate on your career, so he found someone else who wanted kids. enough already!

Isn't Lisa Marie a Scientologist?

I can't stand Jerry Seinfeld. He makes me itch.

Posted by: possum | March 7, 2008 10:30 AM | Report abuse

I'm pretty sure the world isn't clamoring for more of Jerry Seinfeld. But maybe that's just me.

That Lohan family continues to impress with their classiness. Love it.

Posted by: jaybbub | March 7, 2008 10:47 AM | Report abuse

Yes Lisa Marie is a $cientologist, just like her mother.

I'm sure that Michael Lohan was only in that club to "minister" to those wayward young ladies.

For the longest time I thought I was the only person alive that can not stand Jerry Sienfield. I'm so glad to know there are other haters out there.

Oh, wow, Ashton. I must confess that I've always assumed you really WERE Kelso, not realizing you were on a show, but this...this is a CLEVER idea and perfectly in line with my ideas for guerrilla warfare on the papzo. Well played, good sir, well f-ing played.

Posted by: 23112 | March 7, 2008 11:03 AM | Report abuse

no_bs_4me, you're not the only one who can't stand Seinfeld. Him, his bees, and his Amex can fall off the face of the earth for all I care.

I'm over the whole Brad/Angie/Jen thing too. If one person wants kids and the other doesn't breaking up is the only thing to do. It's not like you can compromise on the issue. I'm beginning to think that Jen keeps these stories going; what else does she have going on?

The more I read about LiLo's parents the more I understand why she's so messed up. How could either of her loser parents raise anything but a basketcase? I bet Lynne Spears is wondering where HER reality show contract is.

Maybe Jerry Seinfeld HAS to return to TV now that his wife and that lawsuit has tarnished his god-like aura.

Posted by: Fairfax | March 7, 2008 11:09 AM | Report abuse

Didn't the Pitt-Aniston divorce come final two or three years ago? And Sheryl Crow has had breast cancer and adopted a baby since she broke up with Lance Armstrong. Life has clearly moved on for all concerned. At this point, what difference does it make who dumped who?

Posted by: JanetK | March 7, 2008 11:12 AM | Report abuse

If Jennifer Aniston hasn't bothered with correcting the rumors about who dumped who in her relationship, then why does Sheryl Crow feel it is her duty to do it? And as for what else Jennifer has going on, she is filming Marley and Me with Owen Wilson which I can't wait to see since I loved the book so much.

"New Whitney Houston album set for holiday season release..." Tenative title: I'll Be Home (From Rehab) for Christmas.

"Jerry Seinfeld plotting return to primetime TV?..." He wanted his wife for the new show's head writer, but the pilot episode she turned in was remarkably similar to an old 'I Dream of Jeannie' rerun that aired one week earlier.

"Michael Lohan spotted at strip club..." He claims he was merely negotiating the compensation package for his daughter's next role.

Huh?

I'm not a Lostie so I usually stay out of those designated chats. I just looked at it, the dueling analysis, the Lost Madness, the commenter posts...It's like they're speaking a different language. It's crazy! (In a good way, of course. I know they're just passionate about it like I am about baseball but it's just so funny.)

Posted by: methinks | March 7, 2008 12:05 PM | Report abuse

I don't care for lost either.

Posted by: Irishgirl | March 7, 2008 12:07 PM | Report abuse

I disagree with the criticism of Jennifer Aniston--I've always thought she handled the whole thing with a lot of class and dignity. I can't imagine a much more humiliating personal situation to be in, even if Brad and Angelina didn't technically get together until after he and Jen split up (though Shiloh was on the way before the divorce was final). As I recall, she gave one interview after the fact, to Vanity Fair, in which she said she didn't understand how the rumor that she didn't want kids got started because she definitely did want them.

Posted by: Wikijen | March 7, 2008 12:17 PM | Report abuse

I wonder if Seinfeld could possibily find another supporting cast as irritating as the last group. If George, Kramer and Elaine were my "best friends" I'd have slit my wrists long ago...

Posted by: Mitch | March 7, 2008 12:19 PM | Report abuse

Whew, I thought I was the only one who hated Jerry Seinfeld. I never once watched his inane tv show. Was thrilled it ended and cringe every time he has a new project.

As for Sheryl Crow. You are entering Heigl Thing territory. Really, you don't have to comment on EVERYTHING. You can --- and should - shut up.

I agree with you and I like Jennifer Aniston. I don't see how she couldn't be the injured party in that situation.

Is LOST a tv show? Have I been asleep? I guess I need another nap. zzzzzzz

Posted by: DCAnative | March 7, 2008 1:07 PM | Report abuse

I wish Aniston would just stop playing the "feel sorry for me" card. Its been how many years since they broke up? Everyone else has moved on, why cant she? She chose to have a "career" rather than have kids. Now that she realizes her movie career isnt really panning out, she keeps bringing this up (or have her friends bring it up) to get attention.

Posted by: Shakes, VA | March 7, 2008 1:48 PM | Report abuse

Here's a Friday List idea. Name the celebrity scandals of the past few months most likely to actually be part of Ashton's new show. The rumor mill is already saying that the Hep-A scare from the party a few weeks ago may be one of the setups.

I wish Angie would stop playing the "I am not really a bad person card." Maybe she should tell her brother to shut up.

With Ashton Kutcher's new show (which I may cause me to lift my ban on reality shows) how will we know what Liz Kelly reports in Celebritology is real anymore?

Posted by: Anonymous | March 7, 2008 3:38 PM | Report abuse

Jerry Seinfeld plans a return to television? Obviously, this is a news story about nothing.

I respectfully disagree. Marley and Me was an insufferable book. Worst money I ever spent. Why do people think the world needs every neurotic detail of them and their pets' lives? UGH. I'm sure living it and writing it was fun because it was about them. For the reader? Not so much. Jen, aim higher!

I'm so glad that I finally found what I was searching for! It doesn't matter what other people write or think, I just know for sure that I'm right. Here I found all useful information , all I exactly needed for my new experience. It's not just a great entertaining source, it's also a way of giving different information for all of us
