Woody Harrelson Pushed to the Edge by Paparazzo?

(Screen capture from TMZ.com) Woody Harrelson is not fond of the paparazzi. We know this. So does TMZ, since Harrelson got physical with one of their aggressive stalkerazzi in 2006. So, when a TMZ photographer happened upon Woody Harrelson last night at New York's LaGuardia airport, he knew what to do: goad Harrelson into another attack. You can watch the two short clips documenting the alleged attack here (Part 1 | Part 2), but to summarize: Harrelson walks through an airport alone carrying a few bags. We hear a photographer start to bark questions as Woody makes haste to get away. The photographer won't be put off -- he continues to approach Harrelson, getting close enough for Harrelson to reach out and grab the man's video camera and -- allegedly -- smash it on the ground. That's only round one. Round two commences when the photographer, not at all...

'Lost' Dueling Analysis: 'Dead is Dead'

In which Jen Chaney and I evaluate last night's enigma-packed episode, knowing everything is going to be just peachy, because the dead guy says there's a reason. And although the dead guy didn't say anything about online chats, we like to think he'd want you to join us at 3 p.m. ET for the "Lost" Hour. In the meantime, the live girls ask that you visit "Lost" Central. He sees dead people: Ben Linus (Michael Emerson) faces the smoke monster's judgment. (Courtesy GetLostPodcast.com) Jen: We knew that tonight's episode would focus on Ben's attempt to atone for his sins, so I was prepared to do my Jen Chaney Gloating Dance, since I presumed we would finally learn that Ben really had acted for the greater good. (That dance by the way? Very similar to The Running Man.) But that wasn't quite what we learned. Locke told Ben early on...

Drew Barrymore on the Brink?

Drew Barrymore is a lot of things: Former child star. Romantic comedy staple. Recovering addict. Producer. Serial dater. She's also, at 34, on the brink of the best acting years of her life. On April 18, we'll see an entirely new Drew when an adaptation of "Grey Gardens" -- based on the life of Jackie Kennedy cousin Little Edie Beale -- airs on HBO. Drew takes on the role of "Little" Edie opposite Jessica Lange, who portrays her equally eccentric mother "Big" Edie. There's been some blowback from fans of the Broadway production of "Grey Gardens," who would've liked to see Christine Ebersole star in the HBO version. But the production was a labor of love for Barrymore, who placed high stakes on the role. As she recently told E! Online, anxiety caused Barrymore to drop a noticeable amount of weight during filming: "The expectations I put on myself...

Kanye West's Sneak(er) Attack

I have a friend in L.A. who is sneaker crazy. She collects mostly Adidas and has them lined up along a wall like so much art and, from time to time, she'll inadvertently include me, non-sneaker freak, on her e-mail blasts alerting the similarly obsessed to opportunities to score limited edition kicks. Sneakers are big business, so it is no surprise that culture chronicler and shrewd businessman Kanye West has jumped feet first into the sneaker game, over the weekend unveiling a bold block of a shoe -- the Nike Air Yeezy: (Nike) Here's Nike's official description: Equipped with debossed ankle collar pods for added support and protection, extra-thick sock liners, a forefoot support strap, original functional tension lace loops, and Phylon tooling taken from the 1987 Nike Air Assault for added performance and comfort—all developed and integrated with one goal in mind: to keep Kanye on lock down in...

Why Madonna Should Be Allowed to Adopt

Madonna, along with son David Banda, visit a Malawi orphanage last week. (AP) You may not agree (and in a poll taken here last Monday 60 percent of you disagreed) but I think Madonna should be allowed to adopt four-year-old Malawian orphan Chifundo "Mercy" James. At least based on all the available facts we have at this point. On Friday, a Malawian judge denied the pop star's request to add another Malawian child to her family, saying she didn't meet an 18-month residency requirement. A devastated Madonna (and allegedly equally upset daughter Lourdes) returned to the U.K. Sunday, but not without filing an appeal. Critics of the adoption cited her recent divorce from Guy Ritchie, her tabloid-ready lifestyle and an assumption of "celebrity entitlement" as reasons why the 50-year-old mother of three should not add another kid to her jet-setting household. But now that Madonna's adoption prospects have moved...
