Catching up with Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich with Kenneth Cole in 2009. (Getty Images) If Tila Tequila's rapid fire brain droppings are your idea of must-read celebrity Twitterings, then you may want to take a pass on Milla Jovovich. The actress/model/singer -- who has been tweeting since last fall -- seems to have figured out how to have an easy conversation with her fans while still fiercely guarding her privacy. Tonight, in honor of reaching 200,000 Twitter followers Jovovich will host a live streaming concert for fans by way of saying thanks. She'll also ask them to consider a donation to Sophie's Voice Foundation, a group founded by Jovovich's "Resident Evil: Afterlife" co-star Boris Kodjoe after his wife gave birth to a baby with Spina Bifida. But how did Jovovich -- a bona fide box office draw who still manages to stay well below the paparazzi radar -- start tweeting in the first place?...

Talking with 'Lost's' Jeff Fahey: part 2

Jeff Fahey in a promo shot for 'Lost's' sixth season. (ABC) Here at Celebritology, Liz and I take our star-gazing, movie fandom and "Lost"-watching very seriously. But even we know that, as the recent devastation in Haiti demonstrates, important international issues often (and should) take precedence over the latest gossipy whispers about Tiger Woods or the Jay Leno/Conan O'Brien debacle. Our recent interview with Jeff Fahey, the video portion of which we shared yesterday, was a reminder of that. In addition to starring in films like "Silverado" and "The Lawnmower Man" -- not to mention trying to figure out what lies in the shadow of the statue in his role on "Lost" -- Fahey has long devoted much of his time to assisting individuals and organizations in post-conflict areas, particularly Afghanistan. In more recent months, he has added another issue to his plate: the rights of Sahwari refugees forced...

Talking with 'Lost's' Jeff Fahey: Part 1

Jeff Fahey may have been a latecomer to the "Lost" party, joining the show in season four, but he quickly became a fan favorite. In the show's upcoming sixth and final season, the veteran actor -- who plays rough-and-ready pilot Frank Lapidus -- joins the cast as a regular. On Tuesday, Jen Chaney and I sat down with Fahey to discuss what those highly anticipated final episodes of "Lost" -- which will debut without interruption from the president on Feb. 2 -- will mean for the man who *almost* flew our Losties to Guam. We also talked extensively with Fahey about his work on refugee issues, an issue we'll cover in part two of this interview, to be posted here tomorrow. (We also managed to sneak in a couple of questions about Fahey's role in Robert Rodriguez's "Grindhouse"-inspired "Machete.") For now, watch this video to get Fahey's take on the...

George Clooney and his beard

(Getty Images) Perhaps it's the harsh Lake Como winters or the influence of bearded bosom buddy Brad Pitt, but George Clooney has joined the bearded man club. He showed off his new facial fuzz on Monday at the 2009 New York Film Critic's Circle Awards, which he attended with girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis (who herself recently launched a new career as the new -- ummm -- "trunk" of Roberto Cavalli underwear). This isn't Clooney's first run at facial hair. He briefly sported a beard in 2007 and, in 2008, rocked a mustache for his role in "Men Who Stare at Goats." Just for good measure, I had better throw in this pic of Clooney sporting a robust mullet back in the '80s....

Taylor Lautner is alive

Taylor Lautner: Wanted dead or alive. (Summit Entertainment) Doubtless legions of tween girls will rejoice to learn that Taylor Lautner and his skating pond-smooth chest are very much alive. This despite reports that hit the Web on Sunday evening claiming that the "Twilight" hunk had died. Although I can't seem to turn up any of the original posts, scads of denials have popped up to shout down the bogus report. It isn't the first time Lautner's demise has been prematurely "reported." Back in 2008, rumors of Lautner's death in a London bar brawl were quickly debunked. In 2009, Fox411 put together this handy list of celebs -- from Oprah to William Hung -- falsely accused of dying. So, in summary: Taylor Lautner: alive. Taylor Swift: alive, but no longer dating Lautner. Elizabeth Taylor: alive and tweeting. Rip Taylor: Alive and fabulous. Robert Taylor, still dead....
