Nic Cage as everyone

In my dotage, I may just open a museum dedicated to fan art -- step right up to see the NSFW Britney giving birth sculpture... right this way for the the life's work of the Etch-a-Sketchist... and, through this door, St. Angelina presides over aisle no. 31. Sitting at the intersection of adoration and creativity, could there be a more perfect expression of our celebrity veneration than fan art?

Fan art is a genre that keeps on giving. And, last November, the latest edition to this blossoming genre surfaced in the form of the site Nic Cage as Everyone a site which, as you'd imagine, showcases tweaked images in which Nicolas Cage -- he of the up-down movie career and killer debt -- becomes everyone from Hulk Hogan to Gandalf. And, far from running out of steam, the site's pace has only picked up as word has spread.

What started as the sole enterprise of a blogger (who wishes to remain incognito) has morphed into a home for submissions from Nic Cage fans (or PhotoShop wizards) around the world.

"I'm now getting upwards of 50 submissions a day," said the site's creator. "I think people are basically inserting him into whatever their favorite area of pop culture may be. The great thing about Nic Cage is that, like in his films, no matter 'who he is,' he's still essentially Nic Cage."

How true.

Hahaha, hilarious! Cage really does fit everywhere, doesn't he? I like him as the Wicked Witch of the West.

Buh. Mr. Cage also makes a horrifying Lord Voldemort.

Thanks Liz for giving me something to do at work besides actual work!

He looks better as Amy Winehouse than Amy Winehouse does!
