Box office update: Actually, 'Kick-Ass' wins
We should have known better than to discount Hit-Girl.
Final studio figures now indicate that "Kick-Ass" -- not "How to Train Your Dragon" -- was the No. 1 movie in North America this weekend, earning $19.8 million to "Dragon's" $19.6.
This is the second weekend in a row that early studio projections have been incorrect, and the top movie has not been accurately determined until more solid figures were released Monday.
Executives at Lionsgate and comic-book-movie lovers? Consider this your moment of vindication.
