Splitsville: Larry King files for divorce; Mel Gibson and girlfriend reportedly split

Larry King is the marrying kind. And the divorcing kind. Citing "irreconcilable differences," King, 76, filed divorce papers this afternoon in Los Angeles from wife Shawn Southwick King, 50.
The CNN staple and the sometimes chanteuse married in 1997. According to TMZ.com, Southwick filed her own divorce papers moments after King, seeking spousal support and primary custody of the couple's two sons, Chance, 11, and Cannon, 10. King, meanwhile, is seeking seeking joint custody.
A spokesman told the Associated Press that King's "major concern is the welfare of his children."
As recently as last month, the couple seemed the picture of marital bliss at D.C.'s annual Larry King Cardiac Foundation Gala.

Reportedly calling it quits: Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
According to People.com, the split was amicable and the two plan to raise five-month-old daughter Lucia together. No word on whether or not Gibson will continue to help Grigorieva with her budding music career.
Last year, Gibson's wife of 30 years filed for divorce.

Larry and Shawn deserve each other. Shawn famously declared that she wasn't a goldigger and surprise/surprise, she's going for the jugular w/ "spousal support" and properties. Larry can go out for halloween and not require a mask....
