MTV.com and numerous other Web sites are reporting that Vince Neil, former front man for quintessential '80s metal band Motley Crue, has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Neil was stopped last night around 11 p.m. in Las Vegas and is currently being held at the Clark County jail; a hearing is supposed to take place later this afternoon.
The "Home Sweet Home" singer was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years' probation after an accident in the mid-'80s in which Neil also was driving under the influence. That crash caused the death of Neil's passenger, Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley.
Neil just released a solo CD and plans to publish a memoir this fall. The title of both pieces of work: "Tattoos & Tequila."
