Harrison Ford makes his debut appearance at Comic-Con
Updated with video below
Harrison Ford made his debut appearance at Comic-Con during a presentation about his 2011 film "Cowboys & Aliens." Yes, that Harrison Ford. The guy in this video clip.
The place went absolutely nuts when he walked out on stage, escorted by cops. (A nod to his role in "Cowboys & Aliens"? A joke about the stabbing that occurred earlier? People were too busy snapping digital photos to care.)

Director Jon Favreau showed some clips from the film, which has a Western-meets-Spielberg feel and also stars Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell, who also were onstage. The movie comes out next July. And it might take until then for some people in the Convention Center to calm down after seeing Ford in the flesh for the first time at Comic-Con, perhaps the most exciting moment of the event so far.
