Lindsay Lohan checks into rehab
Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab.
People magazine reports that the recently sentenced actress has checked into Pickford Lofts, a sober house in L.A. She checked in Wednesday and is still there today.
This news comes on the heels of reports that Robert Shapiro, former lawyer for O.J. Simpson, is in the process of taking over as Lohan's attorney. The "Mean Girls" star is still expected to report to jail on Tuesday, but it appears she is hoping for a reduced or altered sentence once the judge sees that she has taken positive steps toward rehabilitation. Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation, to be followed by time in rehab.

Nope, not gonna work. The judge was very specific -- Jail then rehab. The Judge is more likely going to see this as more of her doing what she wants when she wants, rather than true efforts to behave.
Considering Robert Shapiro's own legal problems, not sure he is the best choice for counselor.

ep, you're so right. Apparently no one has ever set firm boundaries for LiLo in her entire spoilt-rotten little life. She needs to learn that the sort of defiance that's gotten her to where she is will NOT wash with the courts. Throw the book at the ho, Your Honor.

Let's be clear, Nosy, Lindsay Lohan wasn't spoiled so much as she wasn't parented. "Spoiled" implies indulged. She wasn't indulged, she simply wasn't controlled or punished as the family's meal ticket.
Her parents were too busy pimping her out as a child model and actress to care whether or not they gave her a moral compass.

She checked into rehab, hoping to keep herself out of jail? Yeah, I believe that will last about as long as it takes for the judge to reduce her jail sentence, then she'll be back out at the clubs just like before.
She hasn't learned a thing, apparently.

i agree with momof, i think the judge will cave, these cailf.judges are very star struck, remember judge ito.
she has gotten away with everything, but most celebs do.if this was a regular citizen, they would be under the jail, months ago.

It's a tribute to your professionalism that you can continue to treat this young woman's self-destruction as basically funny. I would have thrown in the towel long ago.

If indeed Robt Shapiro is representing her, it could mark the first good decision she's made in awhile. Not counting the no-cleavage dress she wore to court last time...
