Britney Spears will appear on 'Glee'

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that Britney Spears will appear on an episode of the hit Fox show. “Britney, I think 100 percent, is going to be on the episode,” Murphy said on Seacrest's radio show. Seacrest confirmed it again on his Twitter. While we already knew that there would be a Britney-centric episode via a Comic-Con panel, this takes the episode to a whole new level. (After Comic-Con, Jen wrote, "During the press conference [Murphy] said, 'Brittany will sing one.' I initially thought he meant Britney, as in Spears, but in retrospect, I believe he was referring to the Brittany played by Heather Morris." Don't doubt your instincts, Jen!)
"Glee" cast members have already voiced their approval. "I like 'Toxic' the best or the 'Slave' video. It was always her best performance. She's rocking! I don't care what I do," Heather Morris, who plays ditsy cheerleader Brittany on the show, told MTV. Jenna Ushkowitz told MTV there will be, "Some old Britney, some new Britney, some Brittany of our Brittany from the Glee club. So it should be funny."
This happy news comes only a week after it was announced that Carol Burnett will play Sue Sylvester's mother. Now the speculation begins. Will Spears dress up like a school girl for old times sake? Will she and Heather Morris duet on "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman"? The possibilities are endless! Please share your hopes for the episode in the comments section.

Oddly, this news does not make me gleeful.
