Jennifer Lopez reportedly out as 'Idol' judge
Looks like Jennifer Lopez won't be sharing her musical wisdom as an "American Idol" judge after all.
People magazine reports that Lopez is officially out of the running for the "Idol" gig. An unnamed source that People describes as "close to the situation" said J. Lo's demands got too excessive for Fox executives, so they walked away from the deal. (Wonder if it was because she demanded that her dressing room be decorated all in white?)
Presumably that means previously discussed judge contenders -- Steven Tyler, Jessica Simpson, maybe even Howard Stern -- could have their status reconsidered if any of them had already been dismissed as Simon-Cowell-replacement options.
Either way, it's going to be hard to make the new season of "Idol" as interesting as all this pre-game speculation.

I was looking forward to her being a judge.

I get very disappointed when people, when they gain fame, lose their humility. You're a PERSON, not a GOD!

Piers Morgan is the only choice to replace Simon Cowell. He's British, he's a lout and he's unapologetic about it because he's usually correct.

If these are the options, give it up now.
I guess Simon Cowell was the show, after all.

Idol as we knew it is over. Idol's success was Simon Cowell. Without him, there is no Idol. Fox better get another show lined up, otherwise they will loose big!

JLo is demanding? Lies, I tell you. Shocking, shocking lies.
Seriously though...nobody saw that coming?

i agree w/townhousekids. you'd think w/her career in the dumpster, she'd have been happy to get her face out in public to a new audience. ego foiled her again. she was never much of anything, but she did have that white heat fame that some people attain for awhile for who knows what reason and then it's over. it's over for her.

How stupid is she? This woman's career is hanging by a thread and even a Simon-less Idol would be a boost. Now that she's off, it's only a matter of time before she becomes completely irrelevant.
