Lindsay Lohan's new probation terms set, include random drug and alcohol testing

Judge Elden Fox set new probation requirements for Lindsay Lohan Wednesday morning after her early release from rehab. The Associated Press is reporting that Lohan's outpatient care will include required random drug and alcohol testing as well as psychotherapy and addiction counseling sessions several times a week until November. She will remain at home -- and must remain in Los Angeles -- until further notice. If Lohan does not comply with these requirements, she will be sent back to jail for 30 days.

Lohan was not required to appear in court today and didn't attend the hearing, according to Radar

The judge dismissed two drug counts that the actress had pleaded guilty to in 2007 and said Lohan's supervised probation lasts until November, but only if she doesn't make any mistakes.

Lohan was released from rehab overnight after spending 23 days of a planned three-month stay at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Hospital. She was released from jail in early August after serving 14 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation.

Do you think Lohan can abide by those terms and finally put her addictions and bad behavior behind her? The comments section is the place to weigh in.

Nope! Until the consequences for violating probation are meaningful it is hard to imagine any real change in her lifestyle or behavior. Personally, I would decriminalize most of her actions, but the law is the law and there should be consequences.

While I don't wish any harm to LiLo, it seems like the most likely outcome is that she ends up like Heath Ledger, but I would not be surprised if she is involved in a horrific motor vehicle accident which leaves her with a TBI or paralyzed.

I hope she can, but I seriously doubt it.

Let's see out of a possible total of 180 days of confinement in jail and a rehab facility she did about 39 days. Wow, that will show her to take this seriously.

And she got charges dropped and only needs to be on probation a few more months. Wow, again.

Nope, she won't make it even with this lenient treatment. Remember last time her scram bracelet went off when alcohol was "spilled on it." You can't spill alcohol unless you are around it.

Agreed, ep. LiLo seems dedicated to making a mockery of every sanction imposed against her. Probably a skill she honed as a child star with directors and her sorry excuse for parents. I hope some authority grows a spine and finally holds LiLo accountable if she defies these latest terms.

To TheOneWhoHurtsMost: My even greater fear is that LiLo will injure or kill innocent others in such an accident.

How did she get two charges dropped from THREE YEARS AGO?

I want LiLo to have a recurring dream like in "Postcards from the Edge." She's walking down a hall past portraits of dead-from-drugs celebrities (e.g., John Belushi). When she gets to the unlocked medicine cabinet and starts raiding it for pills, Nancy Reagan appears in a red suit wagging her finger no no no.

If they're going to go the trouble of drug testing, make it weekly and at a set time and place and not "random." The way LiLo jet-sets all over the place, you might never find her long enough to get a sample. Plus, with her M.O., she might lose her passport and get stuck in Amsterdam within easy reach of a space donut.

I think she would be better off with a space donut instead of a triple martini. The sauce will kill you.

No. I wish her the best, but addiction is hard to break. She should have stayed locked up for a while, for her own health and safety.
