By Sarah Anne Hughes

Do not despair, Gleeks! Jane Lynch, Coach Sue Sylvester on Fox's "Glee," took home best supporting actress in a comedy and creator Ryan Murphy won for directing... To the dismay of fans everywhere, "Lost" won only one award, but did receive Elton-John-style sendup from host Jimmy Fallon... Conan O'Brien and Team Coco fans also shut out by "Daily Show" win... Read all of John Hodgman's Emmy announcements including, “Economists credit Jane Lynch’s character on Glee with creating over 62,000 new jobs in the polyester tracksuit industry."... Ricky Gervais pokes fun at best direction in a variety, comedy or music special winner Bucky Gunts; becomes best presenter or the night... Fallon got lots of hugs at the post-Emmy Governors ball... Talk about all the Emmy fashions with Janet Bennett Kelly today at 11 a.m. ET... Read Post TV columnist Lisa De Moraes' live chat here and see a full list of the winners here.

Celebrity Beat: Paris Hilton is reportedly not worried about her recent arrest for cocaine possession; she does look pretty smug, and well-coiffed, in her new mugshot... On the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, "Blind Side" actress and part-time New Orleans resident Sandra Bullock opens a health clinic she helped rebuild; Brad Pitt joins Brian Williams on "Meet The Press" to discuss his works in New Orleans... "Glee" actor Mark Sailing didn't deny reports that co-star Naya RIvera keyed his car when asked about the incident by Ryan Seacrest... Julio Iglesias marries longtime girlfriend... Lost did not receive Elton John-style sendup. It got the Green Day treatment.

Fallon was great. Loved the opener. And I can't get enough of Ricky Gervais. He rocks.

Paris' new mugshot: I saw a comment on another blog somewhere that said something like, "Paris looks better in her mugshots than the rest of us do in any picture."

What with LiLo's history of drinking, drugs, and cavalier disregard for traffic laws, she could be *the* big-name contestant to get "Celebrity DUI Gumball Rally" on network tv. (Also featuring Shia Leboeuf, George Michael, Morgan Freeman, Mel Gibson... the list goes on and on...)

"Glee" actor Mark Sailing didn't deny reports that co-star Naya RIvera keyed his car when asked about the incident by Ryan Seacrest...Talk about method acting. You almost believe they really are in high school.

What was Kate G doing at the Emmys? That totally ruined things for me. Eeewww

In general, the Emmys were quite good -- even if Glee was mostly shut out. My major problem was they rushed the nominee announcements and the announcement of the winner to get to the funny bits. Except for the stupid Q & A with the behind the camera folks. People that the average person could not pick out of line up were trying to be funny. Except you had no idea what they were nominated for because that was in teeny tiny print at the bottom of the screen.

How does Lindsey Lohan still have a valid driver's license? Shouldn't it have been suspended for her DUI convictions?

So, would the "Glee" opening of the emmys been slightly better, or would it be the over the top moment to ruin it if Jimmy Fallon had pulled Courtney Cox out of audience and danced with her? Admittedly, I don't know if Cox was even there, but I think it would've been worth it.

Organic - i think a 'fallon points into crowd, courtney cox shakes head with 'no chance fallon' look' quick cut would have been just as effective (and wouldnt have been disruptive)

but i like your idea ;)

You guys do TV better than the TV-doers. I anxiously await the pilot of "Celebrity DUI Gumball Rally" on Lizandjen Island TV.

Jimmy Fallon seems to have found a niche.

Not a real suprise about Conan being shut out, since the show WAS on NBC.

I actually enjoyed the funny bits. Most award shows really suck. This one didn't.

I think Paris is facing a bum rap this time. I heard it was just weed. And she was holding it for a friend.

Earth to Lilo. Hire a driver.

Courtney Cox woould only have been appropriate for the opening number if the song has been "Dancing in the Dark."

Loved, loved, loved that Jorge Garcia was part of that bit --- I'm finding I miss Hurley most of all (thought it would be Sawyer, but I never expected him to stay with me...)

Hire a driver, Lohan! It's clear this is an ongoing problem for you. Don't put the rest of us in danger when you can afford the easy alternative.

Driving Miss Lidnsay: probably can't hire Morgan Freeman, even tho he's got experience, at least on screen.

Paris Hilton well-coiffed despite drug arrest.

No doubt Robin Givhan will be pleased.

You would think, ep, wouldn't you. However, the day she got out of rehab she went to the DMV to reinstate her license. Gotta love California.

I forecast that LiLo would fall off the wagon by Labor Day -- does this mean I win the office pool mentioned in Thursday's chat (even though I'm not in said office :-))?

Well of course Paris looks smug in her mug shot, she was (allegedly) high as a kite at the time.
