A statement has been posted on Britney Spears's Web site responding to the lawsuit filed against the pop star by former bodyguard Fernando Flores. "This lawsuit is another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself," the statement reads. The statement goes on to say that Flores's allegations have been investigated by the Department of Children and Family Services and the case was closed, a claim that Spears's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, made earlier.
Flores sued Spears on Wednesday claiming sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He accused the pop star of hitting her children with his belt and exposing herself to him.

Britney -- you need a body guard to protect you from the bodyguard. I will protect you from Flavio! I bet he knows all the Barbara Streisand songs... and lives with a cat!
