"John Lennon's two sons, Sean and Julian Lennon, reportedly reconcile." Hopefully this will put an end to stories about how Kyoko broke up the sons of the Beatle.

Ned Flanders reacts to news that Katy Perry will guest star on "The Simpsons": "Rod & Tod, stop staring at that lady's puppets! And no, I will not add 'diddly' to any word in this episode - I've already sinned enough."

*

The Mycroft role was - believe or not - foreshadowed in a deleted scene from the old Jeeves & Wooster series, in which Hugh Laurie played bumbling Bertie Wooster and Stephen Fry played his unflappable valet Jeeves. The dialogue is classic P.G. Wodehouse.

WOOSTER: What ho, Jeeves! You, in an action film?

JEEVES: If Sir will remember, Sir did once say that nothing would give him more pleasure than seeing me in an action film, or, failing that, Mr. Fink-Nottle in what the Americans call, I believe, a "snuff" film.

WOOSTER: Well, yes, Jeeves, but honestly I thought Gussie would be the one to give some young starlet what for and then accidentally strangle her with his cravat. On screen.

JEEVES: Yes, Sir.

You can use "Lady Gaga costumes" and "reality" in the same sentence? Who knew?

Katy Perry to guest star on "The Simpsons," in live-action segment featuring puppets..

Apparently the prop department was also told to prepare the shark tank and water skies.

"Demi Moore reaches settlement with Australian magazine over photos taken at her private 2008 post-Oscars party." - Were these the infamous upskirt shots? She should have just had Russell Brand beat up the photographer.

"Lindsay Lohan plans to check into rehab" -- Quick, get a new lock for that door. She keeps busting out and we've already gone through two locks already.

"[Lindsay] spent Sunday doing volunteer work at a homeless shelter with her mom and sister" -- Dina kept asking how the residents felt not having access to clubs 24/7 and Ali whined about wanting a new puppy and ew this place is gross.

"Demi Moore reaches settlement with Australian magazine" -- No more bickies for you, Missy. I guess we won't be seeing "G.I. Jane Down Under" anytime soon.

"John Lennon's two sons, Sean and Julian Lennon, reportedly reconcile" -- Sean and Julian, or as Dad used to refer to them, the One I Doted Over Constantly Smothering Him With Love, Sean; and Whatshisname, The Other Kid from My First Wife Whatshername.

"Peter Jackson warns that 'Hobbit' set could be shut down over actors' union dispute" -- It's complete chaos there. Ben Stiller isn't happy with the size of his wee little twailer, Danielle Fishel is tired of the Mrs. Tom Thumb references and Tom Cruise's mini-fridge is on the fritz.

"Lindsay Lohan plans to check into rehab" -- Just reprint this item every two weeks. Bound to be right more often than not.

Concering the Katie/Elmo dustup.

I guess most of the audience would be thinking "Look a meal!" not "cop a feel!"

But she is responsible for the riff between Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin.

(not that that is a bad thing!)

i am sure that these 2 questions do nothing but make me sound ignorant, although i *do* have good reason to be so uninformed as of late re: celebritology. :)

so, what's with Daily Mix? is it no longer every day? and why are there no longer links to the original source of the story being referenced?

(n.b.: for a long time now i've been checking WaPo exclusively from my mobile & just assumed that the links didn't translate to that version; however, i just discovered that the links are not here on my desktop, either.)
