George Lopez divorcing wife of 17 years

Sorta kinda funny late-night talk show host George Lopez is single and, we assume, ready to mingle. Monday, Lopez and his wife announced that their marriage had come to a friendly-ish end.
"George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17-year marriage," said a rep for the couple in a statement to People.com. "The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement. They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation."
The couple has one child, 15-year-old Mayan.
Lopez will be keeping one part of his ex close -- a kidney she donated to the comedian in 2005 after both of his own deteriorated due to a genetic condition.
In May, the National Enquirer published a story claiming Lopez had exchanged text messages (and more) with a Florida-based "professional escort." If true, that might make it less likely that Lopez will get any comfort from recently divorced BFF Sandra Bullock.

His wife gives him a kidney and he may have cheated on her. Really, George?

If George was involved "with a Florida-based 'professional escort,'" he may have given his wife something in exchange for the kidney all right.

Welcome back, Liz!
RE: Lopez divorce - If it were me, I'd get custody of the kidney back. Especially if he cheated...
