Celebrity Beat: Lady Gaga has been accused of confiscating the "fashion style, performance techniques and dramatic stagecraft" of Lina Morgana, who reportedly recorded songs with the pop star before committing suicide in 2008; Lina's mother Yana Morgana made the accusation and told the New York Post, ""Lady Gaga is holding Lina's soul, and I want her soul to be free" ... Susan Boyle reportedly left the set of "American's Got Talent" after she found out she had been blocked by Lou Reed from performing his song "Perfect Day" for the show's season finale; Reed's rep denies the allegations saying the song was not cleared for the American market in time for the show; an unauthenticated e-mail from Boyle's rep maintains the original version of the story... Christian Siriano uses "genius," "Jessica Simpson" in the same paragraph unironically. ... James Franco says he's straight, not a stoner, in interview with The Advocate. ... Angelina Jolie says Brad Pitt is her only friend. ... Fans interrupt Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer on honeymoon in Italy to get a picture. ... Maura Tierney opens up about breast cancer battle... Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has been accused of grabbing a woman's arms in an elevator at the Las Vegas Hilton; police are investigating the claim, but Neil was not arrested.

Pop Culture: Check out the first pics of Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander in the U.S. version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" . ... Season 3 of HBO'S "In Treatment" to start Oct. 25. ... Jeremy Renner and Noomi Rapace in talks to play Hansel and Gretel... A movie wrap-up for the canceled NBC show "Heroes" will probably not a move forward, a source tells Entertainment Weekly.

"Lady Gaga is holding Lina's soul, and I want her soul to be free." Good luck with that, lady. It's in a box waaaaaaaay more complicated than anything Gaga wears on stage.

If Susan Boyle's going to sing a Lou Reed song, it should be "Heroin."

The real trick is to use "genius" and "Jessica Simpson" in the same paragraph *without* using "not" or "compared to" or "houseplant."

Hansel and Gretel are in their thirties and still living with their dad and wicked stepmom? Get jobs and move out, you freeloaders.

Hansel and Gretel are in their thirties and fall for the old "follow your father into the woods" thing not once, but TWICE? Does the movie climax with them at the Lincoln Memorial, listening to Glenn Beck?

So, ep, what are the laws around soul capture? Doesn't look like a slam dunk for Yana Morgana, considering how many entertainment people have borrowed from other entertainment people.

Sad that Angie's only friend is Brad.

Let me get this straight. The Motley Crue guy grabbed her arms. Arms?? Talk about a hit to their image.

OK, Rooney Mara could be the character Producer Paul calls Lisbeth Salamander. But Noomi Rapace, with the piercings and hair in the face, looks much harder and more true to the books. Larson sprinkled his books with various Swedish politicians. Let's hope the American version does not link Ms. "Salamander" with Newt Gingrich.

Is Rooney Mara channeling Mia Farrow?

PS Women have been taking off their pants to get public attention at least since Lady Godiva. Let's hear it for the "Ladies."

OF COURSE crazy Angelina has no friends. That became quite obvious years ago. Does Brad have any left, either, now that he's under her control? You never hear of him hanging out with George Clooney anymore. Wonder how long he will be able to stand being isolated and shrink to a whackadoodle.

Paquin and Moyer are a class act.

WOOHOOOOOO In Treatment is coming back! Lovvvve Gabriel Byrne.

freida, how is Frankie the wonder dog?

I'd love to see SuBo sing "Walk on the Wild Side."

"'Lady Gaga is holding Lina's soul'" -- Where does she put it when she ain't wearin' no cloves half the time? I didn't see any pockets on that beef bikini.

"Christian Siriano uses 'genius,' 'Jessica Simpson' in the same paragraph unironically. -- Well of course he did. Considering their size difference, she would crush him like a bug otherwise. At least he didn't call her "fierce."

"Angelina Jolie says Brad Pitt is her only friend." -- Must make those yearly cast and crew reunions of "Life or Something Life It" SERIOUSLY awkward.

"James Franco says he's straight, not a stoner" -- Are the two mutually exclusive? When someone has to deny rumors about his sexuality with such frequency, there are only two words to describe Franco: Richard. Chamberlain.

"Season 3 of HBO'S 'In Treatment' to start Oct. 25" -- To promote the new season, local cable affiliates will be mailing HBO subscribers free samples of Zoloft.

td, there were in fact pockets with the beef bikini but they were, um, hot pockets.

Redragon, that is a tough one. It depends on whether souls are classified as wild or domestic animals. Or if they should be treated as substances like minerals, oil/gas or water. The laws of capture are different for all of these.

Of course, the first hurdle is does the mother have standing to sue for the return of her daughter's soul? You need to look at the laws of Estate/Intestacy for that.

See being a lawyer is fun.

Friday love to Frankie the wonder dog.

Anyone still here? I have a hilarious video to share of our labor day adventures...

ep, Isn't it all a moot point, since Gaga's lawyer could argue for the non-existence of a soul?

Hey Nosy! Check this out...(you wouldn't think a 90 foot creature could "sneak up" on a 20 foot boat...) You can tell my friend was a bit overwhelmed...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd6g7699lfw

What could GaGa have possibly stolen from Lina? A look? Ha Ha. There are countless steps from a “LOOK” to millions in album sales, 175 Monster Balls, sellouts across the world, record-breaking achievements in nearly every category. POP culture is full of ideas and looks. Even if she did steal a “LOOK”, lets see ANYONE of you take a look and turn it into MEGA STARDOM.

Why didn’t that “LOOK” work for Lina?

I think Susan Boyle should sing "Sister Ray."

Lady GaGa murdered that girl. She pushed her off the building just like Elisabeth Berkley pushed Gina Gershon down rhe steps in Showgirls. Did they ever question Lady GaGa as to where she was when this girl allegedly "jumped"?
