Kanye West is Tracy Jordan? On Twitter. Kind of.

By Liz Kelly

As if there weren't already enough Kanye West-related Internet memes, on Friday, Seattle-based game designers John Horner Harper and Scott Dierdorf astutely observed that the addition of "Liz Lemon" to almost any of Kanye West's tweets results in the kind of irresistible nonsense talk usually uttered by "30 Rock" character Tracy Jordan. Or by Tracy Morgan in real life. So, this of course resulted in a flurry of Kanye/Tracy mash-up tweets.

Behold:

Harper discussed his inspiration with the Seattle Times yesterday:

"I just started following Kanye a couple weeks ago, and was just falling in love with his tweets. They're just so unselfconscious and hilarious. I think it was something during fashion week — it reminded me of a Tracy Jordan line from "30 Rock" where he says, 'Live every week like it's shark week.'

Soon a hashtag (#Kanyeistracyjordan) and several parody accounts were born -- Kanye_Jordan, TracyKWJordan, KanyeJordan. And, apparently constitutionally unable to disappoint us, Kanye spent the weekend posting Liz Lemon-worthy material:

Liz Lemon, Remember the museum plastic spaceship toys that were molded right in front of you?.... Those use to smell awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo, Liz Lemon, being nice is my whole [expletive] now.

Liz Lemon, I think girls be trying to impress other girls with all them weird [expletive] lip colors lol.

And so the fun goes on. No official reaction from Kanye. Yet. But I plan to add at least one of the above parody feeds to my list of favorite Twitter imposters.

I am completely bemused by this entire post. The only thing in it I understood was "Kanye West."

I feel very old and out of it. I shall now retire to the nearest tree and sulk over an acorn.

John Harper. Not John Horner.
