Kat Von D and Jesse James: A timeline

Kat Von D and Jesse James are officially putting their relationship out in public.
At the Thursday opening of her Wonderland gallery in West Hollywood, Von D was pretty vocal with members of the media, suggesting she is in love with the former Mr. Sandra Bullock. When a People magazine reporter asked if James was "the one" for her, she replied: "I believe he is, so yeah." She also confirmed to "Access Hollywood" that they are indeed a couple. (James, for his part, was less chatty. When People asked if he was happy, he said, "Yes." And when asked what he liked about Von D, he responded with a succinct: "Everything.")
While they have known each other for many years, their romance seems to have evolved somewhat quickly. Here's a brief timeline:
March 17: As news breaks that James may have cheated on Bullock, the actress pulls out of the London premiere of "The Blind Side."
March 18: James issues a public apology to Bullock and his children.
Around March 30: James checks himself into a rehab facility, reportedly to treat sex addiction.
May 25: A contrite James appears in a "Nightline" interview, expressing his regret over the dissolution of his marriage and noting that he hoped, someday, to have an amicable relationship with Bullock.
Late June: Bullock and James finalize their divorce.
Aug. 14: Von D and James are spotted having dinner in Las Vegas, but Von D's rep says the two are just friends.
Aug. 18: Von D tweets that she and James are dating then deletes the post.
Sept. 1: Photos of the two kissing during the previous weekend circulate on the Web.
Sept. 2: The "L.A. Ink" star confirms her love for James at a gallery opening.
What do you think: Did this romance happen a little fast? Or will you refrain from passing judgment on a couple who seem quite happy?

August 14! Wow, I'm surprised they aren't married yet. A couple weeks in Hollywood is like a couple decades in the real world.
These two are the Angelina/Billy Bob of today. A match made in ... well, somewhere gross, and thus perfect for one another.
