Celebrity Beat: Lindsay Lohan -- who is preparing for a Friday court hearing in the wake of her failed drug test -- drops lawsuit against E-Trade for using the name Lindsay in their "milkaholic" Super Bowl commercial... Elisabeth Moss officially files for divorce from Fred Armisen, citing irreconciliable differences... Jennifer Grey emerges as front-runner on "Dancing With the Stars" premiere... Michael Douglas doesn't speak to press at "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" premiere... Eddie Vedder marries longtime girlfriend Jill McCormick; Sean Penn and Jack Johnson among wedding attendees... Supermodel Stephanie Seymour and husband Peter Brant call off divorce... The Situation's app emerges as a top-seller... Queen Latifah will return as host of People's Choice Awards... Discovery Channel files $3 million lawsuit against "Deadliest Catch" stars.

Pop Culture: Gwyneth Paltrow in talks to guest star on "Glee" as a substitute teacher who becomes a romantic interest for Mr. Schuester; Paltrow will star as a crooner making a comeback in the movie "Country Strong," which comes out in December and would surely benefit from the promotional bump "Glee" might give it... After blasting "Saturday Night Live" in his song "Power," Kanye West still asked to serve as musical guest on the show in October... Speaking of SNL, Bill Hader programs an evening's worth of films this Wednesday on Turner Classic Movies... Tim Burton casts Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Martin Short and Catherine O'Hara as voices in his full-length version of "Frankenweenie"... Hayden Panettiere to play Amanda Knox in Lifetime movie.

LiLo had to drop the suit when it became apparent that, if anything, E-Trade's use of "Lindsay" and "milkaholic" was more likely to improve her reputation than damage it.

"Gwyneth Paltrow in talks to guest star on 'Glee.'" That's as unappealing a prospect as two unappealing things put together to make a single even-more-unappealing thing.

Lindsay just settled her "milkaholic" lawsuit with E-Trade. After Lindsay admitted to a failed drug test on Friday, it's clear what's she's addicted to might be white, but isn't milk.

"Michael Douglas doesn't speak to press at 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' premiere" -- Cut the guy a break. He's married to Catherine Zeta-Jones. He's probably TIRED. (Yeah, I know he's sick, too. But c'mon, just look at her!)

"Stephanie Seymour and husband Peter Brant call off divorce" -- And that November Rain sequel was THIS CLOSE to getting off the ground, too.

"Gwyneth Paltrow in talks to guest star on 'Glee' as a substitute teacher" -- Apparently one of the basic qualifications to be a teacher at that school is a stick-thin body and an inflated sense of talent. If so, she's perfect then. But just promise me she's not going to sing, "Groovin'" again.

"Tim Burton casts Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Martin Short and Catherine O'Hara as voices" -- Really? I didn't know Burton knew any of them.

(Note to Catherine O'Hara: This is your chance to make up for your voice acting in that execrable "Where the Wild Things Are." Suggestion: Bring back either Lola Hetherton or Brooke Shields singing "Whip It". Make me proud again.)

"Lady Gaga speaks at 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' rally in Portland, Maine" -- I love this woman. What media she gets. Right now someone should be casting a musical remake of "All About Eve" with her and Madonna.

Ahh, Lola Heatherton. She was always my favourite guest on the Sammy Maudlin show. (Sorry, Bobby Bittman.)

Pretty sure Gwyneth is going to play the least convincing movie country singer since George Strait in Pure Country.

Kanye on SNL? Well, SNL has to find someway of living up to its own low standards these days.

Yes, LiLo dropping one frivolous lawsuit to appear responsible will go so far with the judge. Or not.

Why am I not surprised it is the Hillstrands getting sued. Wonder if the Time Bandit will still be on Deadliest Catch? On the plus side, the case was filed here in Montgomery County. I can probably bump into them around the courthouse.

Lindsay Lohan is off to Asia and will visit Indonesia and KL (Malaysia).

Malaysia carries the mandatory death penalty for possession of drugs and they mean it. The following boldface print notice is prominently posted on each social visit pass that gets filled out before landing:

Somebody better warn her not even to think of trying before her actions cause some international incident.

"Costume modesty vow"? You've GOT to be kidding, Bristol. Talk about bolting the barn door after the horse has fled.

A movie about Amanda Knox? Good God. Lifetime really is scraping bottom.

Apparently Bristol Palin knows how to shake her booty. We already knew that Levi knew how to wiggle his Johnston. They really are made for each other.

Next season on Dancing with the Stars:

Christine O'Donnell.

She'll be dancing the Eagles "Witchy Woman"

Sas, Wasn't "Witchy Woman" by Santana (who, incidentally, are already booked on tonight's epi)? Or am I getting my golden oldies confused?

Nosy, you're thinking of Black Magic Woman, which is Santana. Witchy Woman is all Eagles.

Hayden P as Foxy Knoxy? I can see it.

Oh, I hope Ryan Murphy has more sense than to bring in Gwyneth as a guest star. The show gives a voice to we geeks/nerds/socially undesirables and she is just NOT part of that crowd nor ever was.

Jen, you're right. 'Fraid the ol' memory isn't what it used to be...
