Romancing the 'Shore': Snooki's loves, legal troubles
Posted by Katie Rogers
For Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and the rest of the “Jersey Shore” denizens, it’s officially an amazing time to be a pop-culture phenomenon. That’s because the weekly show has actually become less interesting than the daily craziness we get from the cast via the 24-hour news cycle.
It was reported yesterday that the show’s pint-size star walked away with a $500 fine after drunkenly disturbing her fellow beachgoers in Seaside Heights, N.J. But more entertaining than the legal proceedings (which also left her with a hefty two hours of community service), Snooki’s slap on the wrist came with being called a “Lindsay Lohan wannabe” by the judge who handed down the order.
Lindsay Lohan comparisons, Snooki? That’s how you know you’ve made it. (To where, we’re not sure, but suffice it to say plenty of free spray tans will be involved.)
Ah never again! So scary...thank you judge for understanding, I'm very thankful for that! Whew...now I can breath!
Today’s dispatch on the omnipresent Ms. Polizzi is that she has broken the heart of Iraq war veteran and maybe-ex-beau Jeff Miranda. Is an unconfirmed dating show the culprit for her playing coy when questioned about her relationship status?
We’re not sure of anything anymore, but we do want to know: How would you sum up the cast of “Jersey Shore” in one tweet? Send your 140-character poetry our way at @washingtonpost or @celebritology, and we’ll feature the best right here.
