Courteney Cox and David Arquette separate
Update: David Arquette visited Courteney Cox on the set of "Cougar Town" as recently as last week, posting pix on his Twitter account. [People.com]
And stay tuned for an update on the relationships and careers of all the "Friends" alums coming to this space later this morning.
Another one bites the dust. Another marriage, that is. And this one is a bit of a shocker as Hollywood splits go.
Late Monday, Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced their separation after 11 years of marriage, but said in a statement that they remain "committed parents and best friends."
"We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."
The statement came after InTouch Weekly and TMZ.com began reporting the couple had split. According to TMZ.com, no lawyers are involved, but Cox and Arquette have been living separately for "several months." TMZ.com also posted a story claiming Arquette is involved with a woman who -- I shudder to type -- reportedly punched Lindsay Lohan on her birthday.
The couple has one daughter, six-year-old Coco.
