Katy Perry and Russell Brand marry in India
The wedding of two B-list stars somehow makes for A-list news, which explains why I'm writing this post about the weekend nuptials of saucy pop songstress Katy Perry and ribald, hirsute British comedian Russell Brand.
The bride wore a dove gray Elie Saab gown for the traditional Hindu ceremony, which took place in a tiger sanctuary in the state of Rajasthan. According to one PO'd public official, Russty may have violated a number of local laws and noise ordinances between the revelry and the scuffles between photogs and security guards.
According to E! News:
An inquiry into the debacle has been ordered by the state government and, should further questioning be required, they could possibly detain Brand, Perry, the wedding guests and organizers of the event. Should they take it all the way, the group could also be called to court.
Oops. Hopefully Russell and Katy can make amends before causing an international incident. In the meantime, you can spend the next five or so minutes browsing our deluxe gallery of photos from before, after and outside the wedding.
Then, since we didn't get a peek inside, watch this short video clip from the wedding of "Simpsons" character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon:
