Lisa Rinna's casting couch close call; Keith Richards gave drug advice to Amy Winehouse
Updated at 4 p.m. ET.
Three celeb-centric stories on our radar this afternoon...
1. Lisa Rinna's new book, "Starlit," includes a fictionalization of what Rinna described to PopEater's Rob Shuter as a casting couch nightmare based on her own experience as a young actress. "I lost a role on a BIG TV series because I wouldn't bend over a chair in a producer's office for 'just a quickie,'" Rinna says in the interview. "'Just pull your panties down and bend over and the role is yours,' he said to me." Years later when Rinna bumped into the same producer on a red carpet she reportedly told him, "I know everyone in this town and if you ever do what you did to me again to anyone else I will tell everyone your dirty secret." Gwyneth Paltrow also recently spoke out about her own close encounter with a casting couch offer. Which she declined, insouciantly. [PopEater, Elle]
2. Not only is Keith Richards a mentor to generations of guitarists and pirates, he's given drug advice to perennial British messes Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty. "Amy Winehouse and Pete take drugs for the same reasons we did," he told Anothermag.com. "All I'd say is take your drugs in your spare time, if that's what you want to do, but don't mix it up." Richards also re-confirmed his 2007 admission that he did indeed snort a bit of his dad's ashes. Why the sudden flurry of quotes from our favorite Rolling Stone to fall out of a coconut tree? He's got an autobiography, "Life," set to his bookstore shelves on Oct. 26. [NME]
3. Well this is disappointing. According to Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's Twitter account (which must be taken as the ultimate authority, for now), the diminunitive "Jersey Shore" star has not been offered her own spin-off dating show on MTV. Last week, it was rumored that the "gorilla juice head" obsessed Polizzi was lined up to shoot "Snookin' for Love," another iteration of the vapid, yet fascinating "Rock of Love"/"Flavor of Love"/"Daisy of Love" franchise. Not only is no show in the works, Polizzi claims she now has a boyfriend anyway: "Let's clear this up kids, I did not get my own dating show. And plus, I gotta man, I don't need anybody else." Update: UsWeekly ID's Polizzi's new boyfriend as 23-year-old Jionni LaValle. A quick Google search turns up this Facebook profile for a Jionni LaValle, who lists Seaside Heights, N.J.'s Karma night club as one of his "likes." Yep, sounds like the right guy.
